What is Russia’s most distinctive feature? Infinite snow or unique architecture which was clearly influenced by the Byzantine Empire? Those are both top contenders but the country’s massive size wins the title.

Russia is the largest country in the world, but Geauxing Places Travel has scoured through every inch of its mass to find and pinpoint the best attractions for tourists and vacationers.

We’re a full-service travel agency in Denham Springs, Louisiana, but since we plan vacations to Russia so often, we get asked what to see while visiting there.

• Trans-Siberian Railway

It's one thing to brag about size but Russia also flaunts this railway. Its the longest railway system in the entire world. That just makes it another milestone a vacationer like you shouldn’t miss seeing.

The railway runs from Moscow to Vladivostok (a city that’s close to the borders which Russia shares with North Korea and China). Seeing the railway is great but you won’t appreciate what you see until you’re relaxing in one of the train’s sleepers; either in first, second or third-class. • Mount Elbrus

This mountain is recognized as one of the Seven Summits, which, if you’re unaware, are the highest summits on each of the world’s continents. Rising to over 18, 510 ft, Mount Elbrus has been a magnet for both novice and experienced mountain climbers from around the globe; which of the two do you belong to?

Even the cable car that carries you the mountain’s heights is an experience on its own. The cable car can carry you as high as 12,500 ft on your way to the mountain’s summit.

• Valley of Geysers

The Valley of Geysers, found in the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Russian Far East, is recorded as being the second largest geyser field on the plane. Doesn’t it seem as if Russia has the largest of everything?

Discovered in the year 1941 by Tatyana Ustinova, a local scientist, this geyser has for over half a century been a popular attraction for both locals and foreigners, and that includes both scientists and vacationers.
