Seychelles enjoys year-round sunshine so there isn’t a best time to visit. Every time is a good time. If we had to select a great month to visit, however, we’d say April through May and October to November. If you go during these months, you will experience great weather for sunbathing, scuba diving, and wildlife watching. A summertime visit in June through September will mean lots of other tourists and peak season prices. You’ll also have to book several months in advance.
The official languages spoken in the Seychelles are English and Seselwa so communication will not be a problem.
Seychelles uses the Seychellois rupees (SCR) as currency and $1 will give you about 13.70 SCR. Many of the tourist spots prefer Dollars and Euros so you can keep your cash. The best way to travel around is by using affordable bus services but this also depends on where you are staying. For island hopping, there are great and reliable ferry services.
Seychelles uses the type G plug so we recommend buying a universal adapter that has surge protection. You should also use a converter for your hairdryers and hot tools. The standard voltage in Seychelles is 240V while the standard frequency is 50Hz.
